Second piece of domino

Today is a very sad day for Malaysians. I feel especially sad when I see my fellow Indian brothers and sisters out there fighting for freedom to voice out their opinions but instead were greeted with violence and rigidity. It was supposed to be a peaceful gathering after all.

I am scared. Will we one day experience what my parents did in 1969? Mom said she was so scared holding a parang guarding the front door. Will anyone of us need to be in that position of fear again in 2007 or even 2008? Will there be more rallies in the near future? What will be the government's next move?

To those who were arrested, to those who were dragged around and abused, I feel for you. God bless.
