A trip to Berjaya Time Square at Jalan Imbi reminded me of how unfashionable we were as teenagers. I remember wearing really gross fluorescent yellow t shirt from this sports brand called 'Forest' tucked into a pair of high waisted carrot cut jeans + belt. I think I was 14 at that time. Of course, being young and confident I thought I looked damn 'yaoyeng' at that time.
Typical of teenagers, the kids at Berjaya Time Square dressed in bright colourful clothes in true Harajuku style. They wore mismatched knee length socks in polkadots on one leg and striped ones on the other. On their feet they wore brightly coloured sandals. And they sure are liberal with body piercing these days. They have the same rocker chick blue black hairstyle. It's this messy look with fluffy hair at the top and thinning ends... I wonder whether they will be embarrassed of their dressing when they are older and looking at pics from their younger days..
Ok better hide the pics from my teenage years... bet my kids will laugh their asses off if they catch hold of them...
